There, you will find a dental office, a center of alternative therapies and a distribution center with a wide range of organic products.

Daniel and Claudia are charming and very accessible people. We had a two hour interview without anticipating what exactly we were about to discover. We went with curiosity and an open mind.

It soon became clear that it is the word “holistic” that characterizes them best. Holistic means “characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.” and this is what their center is about.

This really is what the center is about: holism and balance. They help their clients and patients to get back to a balanced state of the body and the mind using various techniques from the practice of neurofocal dentistry and neural therapy or the administration of vitamin C to the teaching of new ways of preparing food with ingredients such as quinoa and amaranth.

Daniel is an engineer whose role is the administration of the center and the sourcing of the many organic some time difficult to find products that the center has on offer.

Claudia is a licensed odontologist who practices neural odontology, neural therapy and provides high dose vitamin C treatments.

Together, Daniel and Claudia created the BIOregenereC (pronounced beeo-regenere-ce) center which is conveniently located in their own home next to Claudia’s dental practice. Here their products are on display, they perform the vitamin C treatments, they give vegetarian cooking classes and she runs her ondontology practice.

There is material for an entire book here. It is beyond the scope of this short article to comprehensively cover topics like Vitamin C or neural therapies.

Having said that we will try in the following paragraphs to provide some basic and accessible albeit incomplete information on these important topics.

Vitamin C

On the issue of mega-doses of vitamin C, there is much misinformation on the internet and you have to really be careful and understand that here we are not talking about vitamin C in terms of its commonly recognized use by the orthodox medical world. We are talking mega doses therapy, saturation, we are talking about grams, not milligrams, up to 300 grams in extreme cases, nothing to do with the recommended 100 milligrams per day which you can read about on the internet. To use a comparison, it is like talking about the use of salt to give flavor to food in the kitchen compared to the use of the magnesium salt (Epsom salt) to do a cleansing of the digestive system. They are very different amounts and purposes.

Dr Klenner treated many illnesses with Vitamin C. It has a multitude of applications. Below is a photo of the board that Daniel and Claudia have on display in their center:

Claudia tells us:

“The neural therapy goes hand in hand with mega doses of vitamin C, since many times the patient’s body is so intoxicated either by drugs, food, radiation. First I administer the patient a serum of vitamin C intravenously to help eliminate toxins, increase defenses, sometimes going through a healing crisis. Once the body is free of toxins, neural therapy works wonders … “

Neurofocal Odontology

As per neurofocal odontology, it is a rather complex subject which I would personally and modestly try to introduce this way: while acupuncture or acupressure for example treat the entire body by repairing/restoring the body’s energy channels (called meridians) with needles or applied pressure, neurofocal odontology recognizes that many of these channels start from the mouth and that therefore it is of uttermost importance to treat the mouth and the teeth with care.

This is what Dr. Ruilova has to say:

“Dentistry Neurofocal is making a different dentistry that does not affect the rest of the body. It is free of metals (mercury or cobalt-chrome) in the mouth, as this will somehow affect other organs … People usually don’t relate mercury in a molar with a renal problem but they should.

What I propose is a type of dentistry that is friendly not only with the environment but with the body, which does not affect the rest of the body and this goes hand in hand with Neural Therapy, since this is based on energy and all living beings are energy, then any cut in our body, any small scar or worse any surgery scar (caesarean section, kidney surgery, tooth extraction etc.) are cuts that affect the energy flow.

So the aim of Neural Therapy is to restore the energy flow to that place where there was the cut. What I use in these cases is Impletol (union of procaine anesthetic and stimulant caffeine ), I call them Yin and Yang because the two make a balance. Neural Therapy is a holistic medicine, without side effects.”

Claudia uses local anesthetics without vasoconstrictors and does not recommend antibiotics or painkillers. All this goes hand in hand she explains.

In conventional odontology, vasoconstrictors are used in anesthetics to reduce bleeding during extraction (for the dentist’s convenience rather than the patient’s) or surgery. The problem is that these products remain in the body for as long as eight hours. This long time without blood circulation in the affected areas creates problems after surgery and that is why antibiotics are normally prescribed along with analgesics to alleviate the pain.

On the other hand, Claudia practices an other type of odontology. For a start she uses anesthetics that do not contain vasoconstrictors and lets the normal bleeding occur during the procedure. Then, after surgery or extraction she does neural therapy not only in the mouth but in the entire body. This way the patient can go home without any prescription and without pain, including after serious surgery. She explains that an abscess drains itself  beautifully this way. No pain, no infection, no drugs.

This is yet another example of how alternative medicine lets the body heal alone and without the interference of antibiotics or painkillers. Why is it not practiced everywhere like this? “Ignorance, fear, habits” she says.

On a personal level.  I’ve met in my life some “dentists terrorists” who made me suffer and made me scared. With Claudia none of this happens. You feel in good hands and very sweet hands that is. She is a woman who does her work not only with experience and intelligence but also with love.

Organic products

Of course it is even better to not need any treatment at all and if possible sail through your entire life without illnesses. A change of diet, a healthy diet based on natural, organic products such as people of this country used to consume in the old days is an important step towards a state of “perfect health”. For example I am referring to this super food called “quinoa”, rich in better proteins than meat.

Daniel travels around the country and has many contacts, searching for the best organic products.

In the food category, they have an impressive catalogue of 50 organic products and in the body-care category, 25 products. In addition they offer 12 different salt lamps at very competitive prices and they are official distributors for the BioC products in the southern region of Ecuador (Loja and Zamora Chinchipe).

In conclusion

With so many activities you can see that the word “holistic” suits them perfectly.
